Operations / Owner
Vanessa has been in the restaurant industry for over 11 years. Originally from Brazil, Vanessa moved to San Diego in 2006. She has worked in fine dining and casual fine dining restaurants all throughout San Diego and has also recently obtained her level 2 Sommelier certification. Vanessa loves helping people and being involved in bettering her environment. She went to school here in San Diego for cardiovascular technology and along the way realized her passion for helping people through food and enjoyable experiences on a day to day basis was completely satisfying as well. Partnering with her long-time co-workers / friends, Shawn Haynes and Brian Hornby, the team has their eyes set on the prize of becoming one of San Diego’s best new dining spots in 2017 and moving forward.
Chef / Owner
Shawn has over 16 years’ restaurant experience that has taken him all over the country. Starting in a small suburb of Los Angeles and traveling to Boston, Las Vegas and now San Diego, Shawn has spent most his years running front of house operations. Most recently at the helm of Playa Grill & Margarita Bar (Mission Valley) and Rimel’s Bar & Grill (Del Mar), this venture marks his official shift to becoming a full-time chef as well as operator. His deep passion for food allows him to draw creative reference from many different cuisines and flavor profiles. Growing up in California and spending summers with his grandparents on farms in Ohio give him a great connection to fresh and locally grown ingredients. The team is excited to share his menu and ever changing ideas of seasonal inspiration with the streets of San Diego and beyond.
Engineer / Owner
Brian has worked in several assorted styles of restaurants over the years while moving around the west coast. Originally from Washington State, Brian came to San Diego to find his piece of paradise. Nearing the completion of his engineering degree from San Diego State, Brian is a key contributor and facilitator for Fork Yeah! Food Truck with his creative designs and implementations. Focused and dedicated to making everything better around him, Brian and the rest of the team are excited to bring the highest quality product / experience directly to the streets in new and creative ways.

Our mission with Fork Yeah! Food Truck is to bring a local, chef driven food truck to the streets of San Diego. We are looking to implement our experience, love of great food and ingredients, passion and commitment to the growing mobile food service industry. We work with local, fresh and seasonal ingredients to deliver our version of elevated California comfort food. We are excited to utilize local farmers and purveyors to create an original and unique culinary experience. From sandwiches and salads to bar snacks and 5 star dishes, Fork Yeah! is catering, private chef services, pop-up restaurant dinners and so much more. We are currently in the process of developing a better network for the existing mobile food industry including real time location services as well as social media promotions. We will learn, grow and contribute on every level possible within our community. Our goal is to provide a recognizable brand that is trustworthy and always striving to improve.
